Why this number matters
It is what it takes to make Reliant Stadium sound like a home stadium instead of a rented one. Two-thirds of that comes from Houston and TSU alumni. The rest we are asking Baton Rouge for.

A note to Baton Rouge
This game is worse without you and everybody knows it. There is a reserved Jaguar Nation block on the visitor sideline, the tailgate lots are open to both sides, and 255 miles of I-10 is the only thing between Southern's campus and the gates.

Founded in 1927 and built into the Third Ward ever since. The parade rolls past the Ennis gate on Saturday morning, and Reliant Stadium is 4 miles south of it.

Emphatically. There is a reserved Jaguar Nation block on the visitor sideline, the tailgate lots are open to both sides, and the Human Jukebox will be on your sideline. This rivalry is better when both halves of the stadium are full.
Reliant Stadium has a retractable roof, so late-October Houston weather is not a factor. The game is played in climate control either way.
